Morning Coffee Chronicles
Why the Morning Coffee Chronicles?

They say wisdom comes with age. What they don’t mention is that it also brings back pain, an ever-growing skepticism toward modern trends, and an uncanny ability to start sentences with, “Back in my day…”

As I crossed the 50+ threshold, I realized that I see the world through a very different lens than I used to. What once seemed obvious now feels absurd, and what once felt strange now makes perfect sense. The generational divide—whether in values, communication styles, or priorities—often creates situations so ridiculous that the only way to get through them is with a sense of humor.

The world is racing forward, with new technologies, trends, and social norms changing faster than ever. Meanwhile, we, the 50+ generation, are just trying to keep up—figuring out why people spend a fortune on ripped jeans, deciphering emoji-laden text messages, and navigating a world where ordering coffee now requires a degree in linguistics.

Sure, we could get frustrated… or we could laugh about it over a good cup of coffee.

That’s what this book series is all about: the small, everyday moments that make life both bewildering and hilarious. Through the misadventures of Henry, Margaret, their ever-hopeful Labrador Brutus, and their eclectic group of friends and family, we explore the quirks of modern life from a 50+ perspective.

Because if we can’t change the world, we might as well laugh at it—after all, humor is the one thing that never gets old.
